oh, the tools

I have to confess I was a little bit mislead by the title: the tools we use

I dont want to question the adressed topics, like flash, dreamwaever,
out-of-the-can mailinglists etc

But, what I would find more appropriate for this mailinglist is, what kind
of tools do you really use in "freecooperation", and what are their benefits
and obstacles?

Wether you use ready-made stuff like mailinglists, weblogs,
contentmanagement systems or programm your stuff from scratch how do you
attract people, bind people to the idea of freecooperation?

Even in a small town like Franfurt there're several projects offering that
"service" of freecooperation. Even if you have this
we're-all-together-approach, there's still a sort of competition among
readers, authors, contributers.
How do you deal with it?

Hi Millie, I think your confusing a few points here, flash (the application)
is'nt open source however the swf format it outputs is, so you are not limited
to creating swf's in flash, there are some other applications out there that
do this - i think i remember seeing a review of them on webmonkey.com at some
stage.
