Hi all!
My name is Zeljko Blace. When asked to introduce myself professionaly
I usually end up talking about different types of work I do rather
than saying I am artists, media practitioner, cultural networker, art
manager, ICT researcher, VJ, organizer-curator-journalist, wanna-be
programmer... doing all of these things from time to time but not often
enough to claim any of these titles.
Luckily there is an organization in Zagreb, CROATIA that tolleraits
such work - Multimedia Institute and it's net.culture center "MaMA" and
mi2lab (in past 3 years at least).
I am founder of regional alliance of new media culture centers/labs in
South-East Europe "a.network", nettime-see moderator and one of the main
developers of experimental temporary media lab/space of Travellab called
Split.Connect.
My interest in this topic are quite broad. I am researching succesful
implementations of collaborative web-tools (to feedback into our own
software development/deployment efforts), sustainability of virtual
infrastructures, their social dynamics and most of all new modes of
presenting/interacting in hybrid media environment (mostly for my research
candidacy at KHM.de).
