| Hello all, I am a media artist living in Los Angeles. I use my skills as a programmer and video artist to create interactive installations and web-based works. Much of my work focuses on interactivity -- audience interaction, participation, or contribution. I want my work to create connections between the audience and the artist, amongst the audience itself, and between artists. I am interested in how technology can be used to facilitate, shape, influence, catalyze, destroy or impede connections between people. The topics for the SUNY-Buffalo conference seem to fit well with my areas of interest. I look forward to the discussions surrounding them! -- D. Whether you make art or not, understanding programming is an amazing understanding." from "Code as Creative Writing: An Interview with John Simon" |
