Distributed Collaborative Practice

Mark Hill

Mar 15, 2004

For me the future of collaboration relies in its distribution. Establishing a network of reusable information and technologcial resources that are applicable in a number of contexts that in turn generate useful by-products for implementation by other practitioners.
Access is still often privileged, recognising this fact demands more socially responsible use of resources and better understanding of implemental methodologies.
The UK is one of the few (Australia being the other) where it is possible to do practice-led research (PhD). This enables researchers to focus upon providing artists with new methodology, and not just upon their own practice.
This is my current research project.
