| Chris, Hello. Sorry for the delay in a response. Glad to hear from someone in MA. I would be interested in visiting your school at some point and seeing the work over there. Maybe I could give a talk on the show or something (just a thought). Anyway, if you're ever heading by way of MASS MoCA let me know. -nato -----Original Message----- From: Chris Lamb Toubeau [mailto:bluea-*at*hotmail.com] Sent: Thursday, December 11, 2003 6:14 PM To: collabo-*at*topica.com Subject: RE: [freecooperation] Umass comments This is in response to Nato Thompson's ground level observations. I am interested in a more concrete, perhaps with specific examples, description of what 'radical aesthetic projects' are? Will you be more clear in what you are engaged in? The thoughts flowing through this free cooperation posting are wonderful to follow and I am very interested in your response. I am currently a Fine Art grad student at University of Mass, Amherst ( quite close to the earlier mentioned MAssMoca ). I am very interested in following and finally, hopefully, engaging in the technology media process soon myself. Also, the comments and questions about the pitfalls and advantages of art collaborations is a subjct that is very current in my expereince on campus. Many instructors suggest iinvestigating this group experience to the computer artist on campus, as group-findings and interaction so easily follows when using contemporary media and the web as a distribution tool. Thank you again for your postings. I appreciate the insight. Chris Blue Lamb Toubeau |
