Subject: Social Network Architectures
Dear Trebor and Geert,
Your call for participation in Social Network Architectures
came up on the new Media Curating List. I would like to
participate.
Two specific issues interest me.
One is the history of social networks in and through art.
The other is the problem of why so many networks have
failed. The virtues and problems of networks constitute
an important stream of research in the social and behavioral
sciences, and it seems to me that much of what is being
learned can be applied to art.
I recently finished a study on these themes for a book on
the prehistory of the Internet, and this conference offers
and opportunity to carry forward.
A short bio appears below.
Best regards,
Ken
