ey,
i'd like to announce the new issue of our webjournal about "real public
spaces" presenting the outcomes of a republicart-workshop in napoli.
http://republicart.net/disc/realpublicspaces/index.htm
maybe some of the texts contribute in getting us out of the academic
avantgarde bashing and into a debate about contemporary collaboration
between art and media activism (which overcomes the concept of avantgarde
and at the same time takes up the communist line of flight that has been
triggered by artists/theoreticians like tretjakov, brecht and benjamin).
as there obviously is not a great amount of overlaps between the discourses
of art&politics theoreticians and teccies/media artists in this list, at
least two texts of this issue might be useful as icebreakers:
- media activist marion hamm's text on the intertwinedness of physical and
virtual spaces and resistance
- bifo's contribution about autonomy (from the italian autonomia of the
60s/70s to the postfordist situation of "recombinant capital" and the
"cognitariat")
