Hi, i'm Gabriel Pickard. Activist, and involved in research concerning
(something that you might call) artificial intelligence, information
theory (ditto). I take a (fairly) phenomenological and critical approach
to the everyday user-experience of new media. Parallel and intertwined,
i have been cultivating an interest in (semi-/techno-)utopian ideas (eg
NAM/LETS, oekonux, FK), always intriuged by the promise of new modes of
production and the idea of (what i would call) "network society" as well
as the role which (recombinant|autogenetic) machines might play in it.
These issues have taken a back seat for a while, not to my liking..
That's why i'd be delighted to pick up that thread again! ;-}
