in all cases UBFS accounts have a "public_html" folder in which the persons
webpages are contained in on the UB wings server

one would assume and in most cases this holds true that the FTP directory
would be the same - well, a certain (small) number of accounts require that
a longer directory path be listed in the FTP setting. this path is listed on
the page where you first turn on public access to your UBIT UBFS web account

that page can be found here <http://www.cit.buffalo.edu/ubfs/ follow the
UBFS link that appears as this:

* Web interface to UBFS

* Download UBFSHome software


click on the first link called " Turn on/off Home Page".... - it will ask
you for your UBIT Name and password

then you'll enter your "turn on/off" page - on that page the will be a
sentence that ends with your directory path it looks similar to this:


This web page lets you shut off (or turn on) public access to your personal
web page directory: /ubfs/user/c/j/cjb2/ub/public_html


use that directory path and everything should be OK
